5 Ways To Be Successful When Nobody Believes in You

You have a business idea, a life goal, or a dream that you want to pursue, but the only person who believes in you is the person staring back at you in the mirror. While it is nice to have a cheering section, that is not going to always happen in life. But, just because your boss or best friend doesn’t believe you can achieve your dreams doesn’t mean you should avoid going for them! Following are 5 ways to be successful without a cheering squad standing behind you.

success when no one believes in you

1. Choose To Live Your Life Without Regret

Yes, your mom thinks that you will never be successful and make your dream of writing a novel come true, but that doesn’t mean you should give up! If you do give up, then you will live with the ‘what if’s’ of life, and that can quickly turn into regret.

That regret can be harmful to your mental health and eventually create physical problems as well. We all know that tight and sickening feeling we get in our stomach when regret comes around. That kind of stress on the body can lead to issues such as ulcers and digestive issues.

Regret can also affect your relationships with the people who caused you to avoid going after your dreams. You don’t want to hate your mom because she talked you out of writing your novel. Instead of hating her, go for it with the intention of proving her wrong.

2. Always Remember Your Freedom To Choose

In order to be successful in life, you have to choose many different things. First, you have to choose what you want, then you have to choose to go after what you want, then you have to choose what action to take, and then you have to choose to take another action when success is not happening. Choices are a big part of anyone’s success, and when nobody believes in you, you still have your choices.

Many people feel that they are going to disappoint or anger someone if they choose to go after their dreams, and that can hold them back from doing so. If you want to be successful in life on your own terms, then you are going to have to choose your own path regardless of what other people think.

The truth is that, in the end, they are usually not disappointed or angry. The fear of how they will react is usually worse than the reality of it.

3. Remember That It Has Been Done Without Support

You are not the only one who didn’t have people backing you up while trying to be successful. You are not in unique circumstances. You are not the only one in the world with little support around you. There are many people in history that kept on going even though nobody believed in them, and they eventually found success.

4. Just Try

All of the people who don’t believe in you will be people who have not tried hard enough in life. Maybe they tried to go after their dreams initially, but something happened which caused them to give up. In the end, they never really continued to try to, therefore, they were never able to be successful themselves.

You can see how they wouldn’t like the idea of you going after your dreams when their dreams never came true. People like this often say things like “no one can have everything they want in life” or “life was meant to be hard.” Their mentality is stuck in the ‘I can’t’ or ‘I shouldn’t’ phase, and they are projecting that mentality onto you.

If you want to be successful, then you have to keep going after your dreams. Failure is a part of the path to success, and if you understand that, then you will keep going no matter what happens.

5. Find Support From Strangers Who Believe In You

Many people believe that you will be successful, and they do not even know you! These are the people who believe that everyone can achieve their dreams and goals, regardless of where they come from, who they are, and what kind of support system they have. They believe that success comes from within, not from your circumstances.

You may never talk to these people, but you can read about them and their beliefs in books. You can also hear their beliefs on audio since most of these people tend to be outspoken about life and finding success in it.

John Assaraf, Tony Robbins, Oprah Winfrey, and Jack Canfield are just a few of the people you can take comfort from. You can also join groups on Facebook where like-minded people are and get support that way.

The bottom line is this: You can be successful in life, you just have to push forward and keep going…as long as you put one foot in front of the other, you will never stop moving towards your goals in life.
