I am a firm believer in the right morning rituals. Doing things that make you feel good, nurture your body, mind, and soul, and get you ready for the day ahead, are crucial to boosting productivity in your day. But, one thing I never thought of adding to my morning routine for productivity was sex. Although, now that I think about, sex first thing does make me feel good and gives me some extra energy, so I can already see the benefits.
Morning Sex Could Make You More Productive
According to this article, when men or women have a really productive day, the top things they do is use the bathroom, have a cup of coffee, take a shower, and have sex with their partner.
That is all before checking their phone, which is number two on the list of things people typically do first thing on a typical morning.
In other words, sex before checking your phone may be a wise idea.
Sex is known to ease stress, reduce blood pressure, boost self-esteem and make you feel more connected to your partner, which gives a greater sense of support and stability in your life.
Plus, it just makes you feel good. And, starting your day off feeling good sets you up for a good day.
The Problem Is Making Sex A Priority
The benefits of sex make morning sex something to at least try out for a little while.
Just like every other morning habit, though, you need to make sex a priority if you are going to include it in your morning routine. Otherwise, coffee, exercise, or just more sleep is going to override sex.
I would love to say that you can spontaneously have sex in the morning, but it doesn’t often work like that. When you are in the habit of doing other things, it doesn’t matter how excited you are for morning sex as you go to bed, when you wake up, you will more than likely want to do those other morning habits you already have down.
Therefore, schedule in morning sex as a new addition to your morning routine. Make time for it. Plan for it. It doesn’t sound sexy, but it will still feel good in the moment and possibly result in a more productive day.
