Wake Up Earlier With These 3 Affirmations

Sleeping in late has always been an issue for me. When I was a kid, I woke up at 2 pm every day of summer vacation. On school days, I woke up one minute before I had to get out of the house and that habit stayed with me for over a decade. In other words, I was often late to work. Then, when I started my own business, I started to wake up at 8-9 pm every day. I hated it. I want to wake up earlier so I had more time in my day to put towards my business and personal life. So, I worked on changing my habit of getting up later than I want. Now, I wake up at 5 am every morning without a problem.

3 Affirmations To Help You Wake Up Earlier

You can always try tricks like moving your alarm clock away from you or drinking so much water that you have to get up early to go to the bathroom. But, that won’t make getting up earlier into a habit that you enjoy.

You need to talk to yourself differently and make getting up earlier a rewarding and positive thing in your life. That’s when you will be able to wake up earlier without any struggle. So, use the following affirmations to change how you view getting up early.

Affirmations To Help You Wake Up Earlier

1. I LOVE Waking Up Early

You must tell yourself that you love waking up early or you never will wake up earlier.

I used to constantly talk about how much I hated waking up early and loved sleeping in. And, if I wasn’t talking about it, I was thinking it.

I was a person who hated waking up early, so how could I ever wake up earlier?

My suggestion is to find a reason or two that you love waking up early. For me, one reason was being able to get to my business tasks sooner. But, I also love being able to see the stars and watch meteor showers, which requires you to get up early most of the year.

I always look outside first thing, up towards the sky, and remind myself of how awesome it is to get up in the dark.

You may like watching the sunrise or being able to spend time with someone before they go off to work or school. Or, maybe you like to pray or meditate before the sun rises.

2. I Look Forward To Each Day

I hated going to school and work. And, while I enjoy the work I’m doing for my business, I didn’t really look forward to my day.

But, I noticed that when I was on vacation, I could bounce out of bed really early and not be moody or tired or sick in the stomach like I normally was when I got up too early. Why was that? Because I was looking forward to my day!

So, I started affirming to myself that I was looking forward to each day. Each night before I went to bed, I thought of one thing that I was going to do the next day that got me at least a little bit excited. And, I would affirm how much I was looking forward to it.

This affirmation alone can help you wake up earlier without a problem, so make sure you use it.

You may need to start planning your week or month to make the most of this. For instance, if you enjoy eating, then meal planning can help you look forward to each day. When you know that taco Tuesday is tomorrow, it’s something to look forward to.

Or, you may want to get involved in challenges each month, where you are responsible for doing something each day towards the challenge. Become a challenge addict and give yourself something new to challenge yourself with each day.

3. I Love My Early Morning Time

Ditch the phone and use your morning to do something (or a few things) that feel really good. A comfortable, relaxing, or fun morning routine can give you something to look forward to.

For instance, I know that when I wake up, I get to go for a walk under the stars, pray, and spend time focused on my spiritual self. It feels good every time, and I look forward to it.

What can you do in the morning that will feel good and you look forward to? Plan to do it every morning and start affirming to yourself that you love your early morning time.
